How she checks a deal
- Opens the retailer’s own product page and confirms the price, who is selling it, and its condition — new, open-box or refurbished.
- Leaves out discounts measured from a price nobody was charging, refurbished units listed like new ones, and prices that only hold if you buy more than one.
- Writes down what the page shows and nothing it does not: no invented list prices, no “lowest ever”.
- Marks a deal ended as soon as it is known to be over, and leaves its page up saying so.
