Diorama art style with Akira Toriyama's character designs across lush forests, towns and ruins
Time-travel structure: restore long-lost eras to change the present
Streamlined main story told through vignettes, friendlier to newcomers
Updated battle system with vocational abilities, adjustable battle speed and auto-battle
Game-Key Card — requires a ~6GB download to play

This is a genuine remake of a classic Dragon Quest entry, not a port, with new visuals and quality-of-life combat changes that reviewers say make it far more approachable than the original. At 4.8 stars across 660 ratings it's holding up well. Worth knowing: it's a Game-Key Card, so the cartridge itself just unlocks a full digital download rather than containing the game.
