- Standalone continuation of the FF7 Remake project, picking up after Midgar
- PS5 Pro Enhanced with upgraded visuals/performance on that console
- Single-player, offline play, with Remote Play support to PS5 and PS Portal
- Owners of FF7 Remake save data get bonus summon materia items
- 4.66/5 average from over 64,000 ratings, though some reviewers flag padded side content and mini-games
A digital-only PS5 copy at $14.99 is a strong price for a game that launched at $69.99 just two years ago. Reviews are split: most players love the story and combat, but a vocal minority call out bloated side content and mini-games, so it's worth reading a couple before buying. No disc, no resale — this is a PSN account purchase tied to your library.
