Open-back design with 42mm transducers and a vented magnet system for low distortion
300-ohm impedance with an aluminum voice coil — benefits from a dedicated headphone amp
Frequency response of 8 Hz–41,500 Hz, tuned for extra impact in the lowest octaves
Detachable, long cables built for desktop listening, not portable use
Limit 2 per customer; 2-year Sennheiser manufacturer warranty; not shippable to AK, HI, or PO Boxes

The HD 660S2 is Sennheiser's warm, detail-forward open-back flagship, now tuned for noticeably deeper bass than the original HD 660S. At $379.95 it's a real cut from the $679.95 reference price, but the 300-ohm impedance means it wants a proper headphone amp to sound its best — plan on that if you don't already own one. Open-back also means sound leaks both ways, so it's a desk headphone, not a commute one.
